The mission of the school library program is to enable students to be effective users of information and to encourage them to grow into life-long readers. Our library is always busy! We provide:
-
A wide selection of books for all reading abilities and interests
-
eBooks that support curriculum topics
-
Databases that provide quality, vetted information
-
iPads and Chromebooks for research
- A full-time librarian that teaches students information literacy
Library Policies
· Students in grades K-2 are able to select one library book every week. Students in grades 3-4 are able to select two library books every week.
· Only students that return their books will be able to select a new book.
· Please remind students to keep their library books away from food, beverages, younger siblings and pets. Also, leaky water bottles in backpacks can cause damage, so encourage your student(s) to store water bottles in the outside pockets of their backpacks.
Academic Enrichment
What are students working on in Academic Enrichment:
During the school year, AE students meet with Mrs. Adamson every day. We will explore coding using Dot and Dash robots and investigate the engineering design process through a series of STEM-based problems. Students will also participate in math enrichment challenges.
